Adding an Employee

To add an employee to your account, give them access to create new loans, view and work on existing loans you will need to follow the steps below.

Account Administrator

As a Managing Partner, you will be able to grant access to employees, edit their access and settings and disable / suspend a user.

After logging into your your Portal, along the top row of tabs, click on “Employees”



It will bring you to a list of existing employees which currently have access to the account and will also display your profile. You will not be able to disable your own account, however, this is where you would go to update your own profile. You will also have the ability to reset another user's password as well as your own. 

The view will have an option to filter the list by the following:

  • All
  • Active
  • Disabled*

*You will not be able to reactivate a profile. This can only be done by contacting us at 1-888-536-3025 or service@financeit.io

Select “Add Employee” to create a new user.



The following information will need to be filled in, those marked with an asterisk “*” are mandatory:

  1. Username: Can be the name of the person (We suggest making the username the same as their email, to make is easier to remember).
  2. Email: Where the notifications and password setup / reset will be sent to
  3. First Name: Of the person you are creating a profile for
  4. Last Name: Of the person you are creating a profile for
  5. Position Title: What role do they play in your company
  6. Requested Role
    1. Manager Partner: Can create and edit profiles and permissions, as well as access all loan applications.
    2. Employee: Can create, view and edit loan applications
  7. Phone Number: Where the person can be contacted should it be necessary.
  8. Fax Phone Number: Should it be applicable



You do not have to set a password for profiles you create. This will be done through an email sent to the email address provided when creating the profile. The person will be sent an email like the one below and will select “login”.


It will prompt the user to create their own password which must meet the following minimum criteria:

  1. Must use upper and lowercase characters
  2. Must use both numbers and letters
  3. Must use at least 8 characters



Employee Role

An employee role will not have the ability to add or manage any of the profiles on the account, however, they will be able to create, view, and edit existing loans on the account.



Broker Role

If you are a Broker and would like to add and employee to one of your Partner’s account you will need to log into your account and select the “Partners” tab from the top tabs.



From here select the Partner you wish to add an employee to and select “Employees” located on to the right. This link will show how many employees are currently listed on the Partner’s account, if any.

It will bring you to a list of existing employees which currently have access to the account and will also display your profile. You will not be able to disable your own account, however, this is where you would go to update your own profile. You will also have the ability to reset another user's password as well as your own. 

The view will have an option to filter the list by the following:

  • All
  • Active
  • Disabled*

Once you are in the partner's portail, you will be able to add an employee or modify a profil by following the instructions under "Account Administrator" that are shown above.
